Description
Arrogant, narcissistic, and always thirsty for power, the slender feline with brown fur, a black mane, green eyes, and a giant scar over the left eye that gives him his name, settles down sitting on top of a rock in the dreadful territory known as the elephant graveyard. Always egocentric, the former leader of the Lion Guard adopts a position of power, devising his nefarious plans to take on the throne as reigning monarch of the Pride Lands, a vast savanna territory controlled by a pride of powerful lions in Africa. Right below him, his minions, a clan of exiled hyenas formed by the cunning female Shenzi, the clumsy Banzai, and the cheerful Ed, driven by hunger, follow Scar’s orders. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Disney, Iron Studios proudly present the statue “Scar Deluxe - The Lion King - Art Scale 1/10”, with the iconic villain from The Lion King, the 32nd animated feature film produced by Walt Disney Pictures in 1994, a movie that at the time achieved the second highest box-office of all times, over a base richly decorated with ivory tusks and green mists that refer to the sinister set of the elephant graveyard. Iron Studios also bring a regular version “Scar - The Lion King - Art Scale 1/10”, with a simple base with the treacherous lion over his rocky pedestal surrounded by ivory tusks. And a special edition “Scar - Disney 100 Years - The Lion King - Art Scale 1/10” numbered and limited to 100 statues, with a base richly decorated bringing the Iron Studios logo and a front plaque commemorating Disney’s 100th anniversary, a more than special item for fans and collectors to celebrate and be a part of this centenary. In the Pride Lands, King Mufasa ruled the animals as their monarch while his brother Scar was in charge as the leader of the group that defended and protected the kingdom. But the position of power, envy, and ambition led Scar to believe that he should be king instead. He tried to usurp Mufasa’s throne, but his subordinates refused to help him in his plot. After the birth of his nephew, Simba, Scar planned to get read of him and his brother. Allying with a clan of hyenas, he triggered a wildebeest stampede threatening Simba’s life and drawing Mufasa to the hazard. Mufasa was able to save Simba’s life but was murdered by Scar. Scar convinced Simba that he was responsible for the death of his father, which lead the cub to self-exile. Scar then became the new king, and allowed the hyenas to invade their lands, making the kingdom slowly fall into ruins. Simba collapses from exhaustion in a desert and almost dies, but ends up being rescued by Timon, a meerkat, and Pumbaa, a warthog, that take care of him until he recovers. Simba then grows up with them in the jungle, living a carefree life. When he becomes a young adult, he rescues Timon and Pumbaa from a starving lion and recognizes his friend Nala, that tries to convince him to return home, revealing that the Pride Lands had become a wasteland under the rule of Scar. Initially reluctant, eventually Simba gets back to face Scar and defeats him. Surrounded by starving hyenas, that turned against him, Scar is devoured by his former allies in the middle of a flame.
